Give me those Curls

Thursday, January 19, 2012

So, I kind of semi mastered the barrel curls with only two try's. And I was pretty excited about it. This is coming from a girl who had only curled her hair probably 5 times in her life, and just got her first curling iron ever for Christmas.
So I literally had no clue what I was doing when I picked up the iron. I didn't even know what heat setting to put it on. There is definitely still some tricks I need to learn, but the fact that I even got it to look like this was just a BIG step.

I was really excited about how it came out so I wanted to share it with y'all ! This was my end result.

I was so excited that I forgot to put on make up when we went to dinner that night.

What I used:

Hot Tools 1.5 inch barrel (Nano Ceramic) Curling Iron from Ulta

Aveda Air Control Hair Spray

And I followed her tutorial

  16. Awesome job! You've got me wanting to find a new curling iron just to try this. Out of curiosity, what type of hair would you say you have? Mine is so thick and coarse, I just don't know if it would hold!

  20. Cute curls! Have you tried using a flat iron? When my hair was longer it worked really well for curling and the curls actually stayed in place!

  25. Your hair is so cute! I just recently got one of those curling irons without a clamp and have been loving it but it's a totally different animal from the regular curling iron. And I have a lot of burns on my fingers to prove it :)
