Good day friends !This weekend I will be somewhat out of touch. I am really really excited that my parents are coming to visit today and will be here this afternoon! I have not seen them since Easter, so I've missed them very much! I get to celebrate a belated Mother's day with my Mama, since I missed her on Friday, so I am pretty excited about those festivities !
Saturday, we will be heading to Nashville for my cousins wedding! I am so excited for her and can't wait to see some of my family members that I haven't seen in a long time. Her wedding will be beautiful and I will be sure to take lots of pictures! Be sure to follow me via instragram :: britt_themagnoliapair :: to see all my pictures from the weekend, because there will be many !
Now....For the Deep Stuff.... As some of y'all saw VIA Twitter, I applied to college post-baccalaureate yesterday! It all happened So So Quick ! It was the matter of an hour and I just clicked, made a phone call, paid a $30 application fee, sent a transcript, and I had applied to college. I've been debating it for a few weeks now, and realized after speaking to a counselor that I need to jump on it before I lost my chance to start school in the fall. I thought I was going to do graduate school, but I opted not to and to just go get a whole new degree.
When I was in college, I felt pressured to pick a major, graduate in 4 years, get a good internship, and graduate. Which I did, by the grace of God. But this time around, I want to to do what I want to do. My passion was to teach Secondary Art Education, but my program was discontinued and I had to forget my dream. My passion grew for photography and I still embraced my artistic side. I graduated in a degree I loved, but was not passion about.
I want to take classes I'll enjoy...like, Art, photography, music, and more. Now that the pressure is off I am going to actually go back to college and embrace my dreams!
I usually wouldn't share something like this so soon (without officially getting in yet), but I really just think no matter what happens, I think my decision to try to go back will hopefully inspire others to chase their dreams too, no matter what they may be.
This photo of Liberty Leading the People sums up my feelings about going back, "I'm going back, who's with me?"
Now, it's time for y'all to meet my lovely Sponsors ! Be sure to check out their blogs and show them some love !
Favorite Summer song: Anything Adam Levine sings.
Hi there! I'm Sheila and I blog over at The FailteHouse. I am a twenty-something adventurist and aspiring photographer who happens to live on an island, where I have happily hosted about 70 visitors last year (All friends and family, I am not running a hostel here!). On that note, my blog is dedicated to telling the stories of my amazing island visitors, giving you a little bit of morning "coffee" inspiration, and to the DREAM AWAKE series, filled with inspiring interviews and highlights from fellow bloggers and dreamers who are chasing their dreams and living life to the fullest. Most importantly, the FailteHouse is a place where we choose Joy each day! So come on over, because I can’t wait to meet you and hear all about your story!
Favorite Summer Song:
My name is Andrea and I blog over at tickled pink (missandrealee.blogspot.com). I'm a twenty-something working girl just trying to figure out life post-college. I mostly like to blog about fun things I do and what I wear while doing it! For example, my picture is from a garden tour I went to with my future MIL!
favorite summer song: a techno-y remix of "Boys of Summer" by DJ Sammy.
Now, be sure to go check out these sweet ladies & make some friends :)
I hope all y'all have a wonderful & happy weekend !!
