Well, Rayne and I were on the same page this weekend, that is for sure. This one picture just about sums up our entire weekend. After an overwhelming 4 day work week, I was ready to relax and enjoy the weekend. Throughout the week I had not been feeling too great, so that always makes the work days feel so much longer.
The hubby has his exam today (right now actually), so this weekend was all about me, mostly. Friday we enjoyed dinner with some new friends which was really fun. Saturday, I spent way too much time/money in Target. Joel got done studying early so we could watch LSU kick some Washington booty (sorry WA fans).
And here's where it gets real exciting (sarcasm)... Rayne and I went to two dog parks on Sunday because we both wanted to just enjoy the beautiful 75 degree weather that came through. I think we spent 2 and a half hours total out there just soaking up the beautiful weather. It was really fun. And when Kristen and Radley showed up, we were really excited! Even though Rayne did not play very nice with Radley... hangs my head in dog mama shame... Kristen and I enjoyed hanging out and spending time together. Us med school wives try to stick together and keep each other company during these times which is really nice. That night I found myself alone again, so another med school wife and I went to Sunday cook out shindig, since both our husbands were still at the library studying. It was really a great day and I had plenty of distractions to keep me busy.
I suppose this weekend will be similar since Joel has another Monday exam, but I just am so thankful to be surrounded by other girls who are going through the same thing as me. It really helps and I am so thankful for them.

I hope y'all had a great weekend as well, and thank you to everyone who commented on my new blog design, I read each comment and felt so much blog love :) Thank you again to Emily for giving me the dream blog design, she truly was a gem to work with!

  1. Glad you have med school wives and girlfriends to spend time with! I have no doubt it helps with J is so busy!!! Sounds like a super fun weekend too!!! :) Hope you are feeling better!!! xoxo!

  2. Glad you were able to stay busy despite your hubby studying so much! Part of me liked having Monday exams so I could cram over the weekend, but Friday tests were also nice because that meant a study-free weekend! {well, that's if a 2nd yr med student can have a whole weekend without studying...} ;)

  3. I hang my head in dog mama shame often! My Harper doesn't love to share her mother with anyone! :)

  4. Haha your comment about Rayne & Rad made me laugh! I'm glad Rayne found a dog her own size to wrestle with - Radley's too much of a pushover! We had so much fun at the dog park with y'all! Hope to see you Wednesday at trivia :).

  5. How sweet you have some support as a med school wife!!

happy you had such a great weekend! Still obsessed with your new blog design!

  6. aw glad your husband was able to set aside some time to hang out, but sounds like a fun day at the dog park. I know how tiring a shortened work week can be. Hope you're feeling better :)

I love reading comments more than anything! Thank you for stopping by and reading my blog !
