I wanted to start a little series of letters that I've been writing to our baby and post them every couple of weeks. This is such a special time for me, and I have so many thoughts on my mind lately, and want to remember this time.

Today you are 9 weeks! I cannot believe you have been in my belly for that long. Yesterday we got to see you on the big screen for the first time, and your Mama and Daddy's heart just sank. We are absolutely in love with you already. We got to hear your heartbeat (which was a strong 177), see your little body, and find out exactly how old you are. You surprised us a little, as we didn't realize you have been cooking in there for 2 extra weeks. This puts your due date at April 25th! We thought you were going to be a Cinco de Mayo baby, but that's okay, as long as you still like Mexican food one day, we'll be happy to hold you two weeks early :) Mama is a little nervous about what is to come, and Daddy is nervous about balancing his school work/clinical years, but we just know you are going to be an amazing addition to our family and will bring us so much happiness and love. Keep growing strong and healthy in there, we cannot wait to feel you move around soon enough. We love you so much!
Yesterday (10/15) we got to see you on the screen for the second time! I knew my heart would grow more, but you really made my heart melt this time. Seeing and hearing that you are doing great and looking healthy brought tears to my eyes. Your Daddy just about jumped out of his seat when he realized you were flapping your arms and legs. You are already so active (with a heartbeat of 165) and I cannot wait to feel those movements! Of all of the pictures the tech gave us, this one is my favorite. You are so sprawled out and look like you are comfy in there. Baby, you are so loved already and our family and friends cannot wait to meet you. The response from our expecting announcement was phenomenal, and I hope to show you all the sweet comments you've received when you're older. We love you so much!
